Percipio

The Maryland State Library Agency now offers a free online training opportunity called Percipio to all employees of Maryland Libraries.  

To register:  .

1. Follow the one-time security registration set-up

Click on the URL - https://marylandlibraries.percipio.com/login#/self-register

Select "create an account"

Enter your work email Address (e.g. epratt@prattlibrary.org)

Enter your First Name and  Last Name

Enoch Pratt Free Library is your location

Check the "I am not a robot" box

A verification code will be sent to your email address to verify your identity 

Type in the verification code that you received and create a password

2. Log-into Percipio

On the drop-down menu select your Location (list contains 28 Maryland libraries) 

Enter your User ID

Enter your Password

Begin selecting your areas of interest/skills or search the catalog for a course

MERLIN (www.merlincommunity.org)

Maryland's Essential Resource for Library Information Networks is the learning community for Maryland library staff.

• Use the calendars to learn about training and other statewide events.
• Launch online training.
• Engage in discussions and share resources on various library-related topcs.
• Create and contribute to blogs and wikis for statewide committees and projects. 
• Network with kindred library folk statewide. 

Merlin also provides access to the Statewide Training and Events Calendar.  These SHARED training opportunities relevant to public libraries are provided by: Maryland public library systems and regional libraries; Maryland Library Association; and the State Library Resource Center. Select free webinars from OPAL, SirsiDynix Institute, Library Journal, and WebJunction are also listed; along with significant statewide meetings and events. Some training and events are available by invitation only.
